********************************************************************
Public Art Chattanooga, the City of Chattanooga’s public art program, commissioned world-renowned artist, Meg Saligman, to create a monumental mural located on all four sides of the AT&T building in the heart of M.L. King Boulevard in Chattanooga, TN. This is Meg’s largest mural to date covering approximately 42,000 square feet and took 6 months to paint by a team of 11 artists.

The M.L. King Mural is a monumental, painted testament to the complex cultural dynamics along M.L. King Blvd in Chattanooga. It reclaims an entire city block with lush color and locally-sourced imagery in an area rich in history and renewed energy and growth. The M.L. King Mural reinforces the critical role that public art plays in telling the story of one of Chattanooga’s most important neighborhoods through images of its rich past, present and vision for the future.

This project was made possible through an unprecedented partnership with AT&T. Funding was made possible with generous grants from the Benwood Foundation and Lyndhurst Foundations. We are grateful for support from our sponsors, NES Rentals, Sherwin Williams, Wafflez and over the 560 citizens who provided their input and helped paint the mural in the summer of 2015.
