Music theory is the study of the theoretical elements ofmusic including sound and pitch, rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation. Understanding music theory means knowing the language of music.
This class covers the very basics of music theory such as reading different clefs, identifying key signatures, identifying scales and basic chords, and understanding rhythmic notation. This class is ideal for current musicians who aren’t comfortable reading music, people who used to study music but may have forgotten things over the years, and anyone else looking to understand the basics of music.
