Eve Apart is a musical-theatrical work (chamber opera) that explores figures of epic stature: Adam & Eve, Lilith, The Serpent of the Garden of Eden, and the mysterious “Nameless Second Eve.” Drawing from ancient mythology – mainly Kabbalist mysticism and Midrashic literature – this operatic piece of musical theater explores gender identity, myth, religious paradigm, and human nature. The work features a cast of nine singers, a live, musical ensemble, and multimedia technology.

The Chattanooga cast: Sara Snider Schone, Desiree Soteres, David Tahere, Michael Dexter, Laura Sage, Caitlin Hammon, Marianna Allen, Jason O’Neal and Blane Tooley.

Composer Tim Hinck was music director for CTC’s rousingly successful production of Les Miserables; singer Michael Dexter was CTC’s Jean Valjean.

“While the story, the staging, and the visual elements are quite heavy and serious; you will find the music score engaging and melodic. ” –Tim Hinck
