Kayoko Dan, conductor
CSO Chorus, Darrin Hassevoort, director
Lee University Chorale, William Green, director
IVES: The Unanswered Question
GJEILO: Across the Vast, Eternal Sky
BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 9, “Choral”

The CSO begins the 2014/15 season with one of the best-known works, and arguably one of the greatest pieces written, in classical music – Beethoven’s 9th, the “Choral” symphony. This transcendent program also features Charles Ives’ most famous work that he describes as a ‘cosmic drama,’ and a choral work by modern composer Ola Gjeilo that was inspired by the rebirth of a phoenix.
