Ambi Artists is a “cross-pollinator” where artists of all stripes gather to reignite their creative spark. Typical get-togethers include writers & poets, fine artists & sculptors, photographers & filmmakers, just to name a few.
“CRAFT ‘N’ CROP” is also part of our monthly Ambi Artist Meeting. And although not required, one of the goals of “Craft ‘n’ Crop” is to allow creatives to bring a recent artwork or “work-in-progress” for positive feedback and further inspiration.
So, if you have a fun crafting project you need to start or are currently working on, you’ll be happy to hear that we have plenty of space for all your creative needs — whether you’re designing clothes or costumes, painting a portrait, scrapbooking, crocheting, making jewelry, or another craft of choice.
* NOTE: Food is potluck so please bring a dish, side, dessert or non alcoholic drink to share with your fellow creatives.
** To quote from Ms. Cameron, author of ‘THE ARTIST’S WAY’ text which serves as our guide:
“It is my belief and my experience as a teacher that all of us are healthy enough to practice creativity. It is not a dangerous endeavor requiring trained facilitators. It is our human birthright and something we can do gently and collectively. Creativity is like breathing – pointers may help, but we do the process ourselves.
Creative clusters, where we gather as peers to develop our strength, are best regarded as tribal gatherings, where creative beings raise, celebrate, and actualize the creative power which runs through us all.”
Hope to see you there!
